MARCH MEETING NOTES
We had a good gathering a lot of show and tell—members have been wonderfully busy.
Evelyn had done a folded star pot holder. and Joyce brought several projects she has been working on.
Several members had been working on the Round Robin kits that Tammy handed out in February and they were traded on to new quilters to continue growing.
and Julie was working on a wedding gift quilt from the blocks patterns we made our first year.
Tammy brought a beautiful quilt she designed to be made using a jelly roll and charm blocks.
We had just started the block of the month with a look at blocks done by Lu, Tammy and Gayle
When the alarm sirens began for a Tornado alert and we scattered home like a covey of quail. New blocks of the month and the program on the Folded Star Block will be available at the April meeting which had been planned as an open meeting to work on individual projects.
We had a bonus meeting in March–a Saturday program to learn about Swedish Embroidery. This is the only Saturday program we had planned for this year and was well worth the time to attend. Joyce and Judy took us through the process step by step so everyone could get a good start on their project.
And there was plenty of time for sharing as we learned.
Kay was working on a baby gift but came for the fun and sharing.
And I think that finally is all the news from the past month. See you Monday.
