February Block of the Month – Improved Four Patch

The block of the month handed out at the January 2007 meeting was called an Improved Four Patch.  You can see an example of one at http://www.quilting-arts-forum.com/bom5_7.html

Cutting instructions for a 12″ finished block (12 1/2″ unfinished square) are, as follows:
Cut EIGHT (8) 2 5/8″ squares (orange & purple below)
Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares (maroon below)
Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares.  Then cut these in half diagonally ONE (1) time, ending up with 4 triangles (yellow below)
